How to Prepare for your Waxing appointment

Hair must have at least two weeks of growth or be about the length of a grain of rice.

Do Not Shave

Before your appointment, exfoliate the area being waxed to loosen ingrown hairs and achieve better waxing results.

FAQ

  • How long does it take for a Brazilian or Bikini Wax?

All Brazilian/Bikini waxes are scheduled in 15 minute intervals. This includes time for 5 minute late arrival, undressing, waxing, redressing. It's really pretty quick, so plan on arriving on time.

  • Can I get waxed on my menstrual cycle?

Yes, of course! As long as you are wearing a menstrual cup or tampon. Give yourself enough time to freshen up on arrival. We will supply the towelettes for you.

  • Does it hurt more if I'm on my cycle?

Pain is subjective but in most cases, NO! It hurts more the week BEFORE you start your cycle. PMS week makes everything hurt. Your ovulation cycle is when it’s claimed to be the least painful.

  • How long does it last?

It’ll be super smooth at least a week. Some people grow hair back quicker, thicker, uneven. How quickly your hair grows back is based on many factors. 3 weeks would be the soonest you could get waxed again.

  • Does it hurt?

If it’s pain pain you fear, waxing might not be for you. Keep it consistent for the least amount of pain! You will feel it, but every person experiences pain differently. Curiosity might have killed the Kitty, but waxing brought the kitty back!

  • Can I take a pain killer before my wax?

Sure! As long as you're taking something that doesn't require a prescription, 1-2 over the counter pain reducers will help alleviate the discomfort of a wax if taken 30 minutes before your appointment.

  • What kind of wax is used?

We are Soft Wax specialists. If you prefer hard wax, we will gladly recommend a nearby wax salon that uses hard wax. Our soft wax is low temperature, has an incredible formula, pulls every hair and is good for the most delicate skin types.

  • What is the difference between hard wax and soft wax?

It's mostly the formula; with hard wax hardening the moment it starts to cool down. It is applied in a thick layer and as it cools down is trapping the hair within the wax. Once the wax has completely cooled down, the hard wax is removed and the hair goes with it. Hard wax may require 2-3 applications per area of the skin to complete a smooth result. Soft wax achieves a smooth result that only requires one layer of application. Our soft wax is oil soluble and works well with almost all skin types. With proper application and removal, soft wax is guaranteed to give you the cleanest finish in the quickest way possible.

  • Do we offer first time discounts?

No. We are a small business and get to know all of our clients on a personal basis. The personal experience will and does eventually lead to discounts but these are only offered to our most frequent and loyal clients. We are known to give discounts and even free services for special occasions like graduations, weddings and birthdays. As a small business we love surprising our clients with extra love. It's so much more rewarding this way.

  • How often should I exfoliate?

At least 2-3 times a week. Ask your waxer for a personalized recommendation based on your individual needs and skin type.
